Freepik’s Time at the Berlin CEPIC Congress 2018

We at Freepik are always looking for innovative ways to expand our growth. We are proud of the range of resources we have accumulated and are always seeking to widen them. From May 31 to June 1 Belin held its CEPIC Congress 2018. As one of the worlds largest still and moving images congress it was the perfect place for Freepik to network and potentially collaborate with different companies.

We were represented by members of our marketing and growth team with Piki also making an appearance. With 250 companies from over 32 countries it was the perfect place to make links and learn what is out there. We got to have our own stand where passers-by could stock up on some exclusive goodies and really find out what Freepik is about.

We are excited at the prospect of adding to our photo collection and as well that we got to represent our company name on an international platform. Our team and Piki also had a good time exploring some of the monumental wonders of Berlin in the meantime. Stay tuned to find out more about our international adventures. A Big Happy Birthday to Freepik

Here at Freepik headquarters, there’s been a lot of excitement over Freepik’s upcoming birthday. Yesterday the company turned eight years old and celebrations were held in the company. The team was treated to a special Spanish breakfast of churros and chocolate. To further commemorate the day the team was also dressed in the company’s traditional blue. Freepik’s little pet Piki also celebrated his birthday alongside the company. Throughout his time at Freepik he’s had many adventures and we’re sure he will have many more.

The company was started in 2010 by brothers Alejandro and Pablo Blanes alongside their friend Joaquin Cuenca. Since then Freepik has been rapidly growing and growing. They are now the leading search engine of vector designs. The company fulfilled a successful vision to help users find graphics resources for both commercial and personal projects. They receive over 40 million visits every month and have an international base of users. The site is used in over 230 countries worldwide.

The company’s young and international team are based in Malaga and is rapidly growing. Only recently the company widened their headquarters creating a fantastic new floor called Vectorland. Freepik has accomplished so much in the last 8 years and we are excited to see what’s more to come. There is no better example of a dream that can turn into a universe. So here’s to Freepik’s birthday and many birthdays more.

Freepik proudly celebrates its Andalusian Heritage

Today Freepik is celebrating the Day of Andalusia (the southern region of Spain) which takes place on 28 February every year. As a company who has its origins and headquarters in Malaga, this celebration is important to us. The day commemorates when the south of Spain voted in favour of becoming its own autonomous region with its own regional government. We are proud of our Andalusian background and that here in Malaga we are able to help contribute towards Andalusia’s technological sector.

On 23 February we were honoured by the Andalusian government with an award at the Bandera de Andalusia awards ceremony. The awards seek to recognize talent and commitment to the Andalusian community. The board of the ceremony wanted to celebrate the achievements of individuals and entities in Malaga. Freepik’s rapid growth not only in Spain but also on a worldwide level was one of the leading causes for its nomination. Alongside the award, the company was given the Andalusian flag which now adorns the offices.

It is a great source of pride that our large and creative team based here in Malaga help a number of users worldwide. Furthermore, our team has not just members from Malaga and Andalusia but also other parts of Spain and the world. The idea for the company was conceived eight years ago. Founders and brothers Alejandro and Pablo Blanes alongside Joaquin Cuenca wanted to create a place where users could find free graphics resources for a variety of different uses. The company has continued to grow and we forecast that this will be the case for the future. Alongside this, we will uphold our dedication to Andalusia and the Andalusian community.
